About Alexander Montagano

About Alex Montagano Since starting his real estate journey back in 2012, Alex Montagano has built a reputation for hard work, innovation, and genuine connection. A proud Butler University grad (and former baseball player), Alex brings that same competitive spirit and team mentality to everything he does in real estate. He kicked off his career at RE/MAX Legends, where he quickly made a name for himself — Rookie of the Year in 2014, followed by the 100% Club and Platinum Club awards. Those early wins fueled his next step: launching the Montagano Real Estate Group in 2016, rooted in one simple belief — that success comes from doing the work and building real relationships. In 2018, Alex joined eXp Realty, a move that opened the door to incredible growth. The platform’s forward-thinking model gave him the tools to scale his business and support his team like never before. By 2022, that momentum led to something bigger: Lockstep Realty. The rebrand wasn’t just a new name — it represented a renewed mission built on three core values: Do the Work. Relationships Matter. Beyond the Transaction. Under Alex’s leadership, Lockstep has become known for its high-performing agents, strong team culture, and commitment to helping people grow — in business and in life. Outside of work, Alex is most proud of his role as a husband to Maureen and dad to twins, Michael and Willa. Through every season of change in real estate, Alex has stayed grounded in what matters most: people. Whether it’s through a handshake or a DM, he believes real connection never goes out of style.
